Consular legalization is the certification of seals, signatures and titles by a competent Vietnamese agency on foreign papers and documents so that such papers and documents can be recognized and used in Vietnam.

The Consular legalization procedure helps with making the documents issued by one country valid to be used in another country. When legalising the documents, the authority merely certifies the signature, stamps appearing on the documents, and the authorities are not responsible for the accuracy of the information/content contained therein. The whole process is commonly implemented by the authorities of both countries

A. For the Power of Attorney Contract, the required documents include:

– Scanned copy of the authorization contract prepared by the customer;

– Scanned copy of your valid passport/green card;

– Scanned copy of valid passport/green card of the authorized party;

– Notarized scanned copy (of Vietnamese competent authority) of the document certifying the ownership/use of property (Certificate of Land use Rights/ Vehicle/ Passbook/ Household Registration Book...) that you The customer will authorize the transfer/given/name transfer… in Vietnam.

B. For the Property Disclaimer, the required documents include:

– A scanned copy of the property rejection document prepared;

– Scanned copy of your valid passport/green card;

–Notarized scanned copy (of the competent authority of Vietnam) of the document certifying the ownership/use of the relevant property.

C. For a Personal Power of Attorney, the required documents include:

– Scanned copy of power of attorney prepared;

– Scanned copy of your valid passport/green card;

– Notarized scanned copy (of the competent authority of Vietnam) of the authorized party's identity document.

Note:

- You can ask the relevant person in Vietnam to prepare and send you the form of Power of Attorney Contract/Document of Rejection of Property/Power of Attorney… at the request of a competent authority in Vietnam.

- The contract/power of attorney should be prepared by typing or handwriting clearly, the information and content should be complete and accurate in Vietnamese with accents, must not be erased, the content must be seamless, without spaces, blank in text; if the handwriting is not written with two strokes or two different colors of ink; Do not compose documents both by typing and handwriting.
