E-SIM is a small chip digitally embedded in your phone instead of  inserting a physical SIM card. The eSIM activates the same way as a traditional SIM card by installing an eSIM through the QR code. 

There are two kinds of eSIM, which are:

• Data eSIM, and
• Voice, SMS, and Data eSIM.
